Matthew Booth

Matthew Booth, a Hero or a Cheat?

You know I still think had Matthew Booth and Bennie McCarthy been included and played at the 2010 FIFA World Cup that was played here at home, we would have advanced to better stages than we did.

Like any other man, Booth has had his iniquities and he deserves to be judged for them. But that guy is a great guy, great father and a legend of SA football and yellow marine. When playing for Bafana Bafana, only Mark Fish has enjoyed the status of Booth.

“Boooooooooottth”. As he was affectionately known, Booth was the pillar of any team he played for. Lol, literally, considering his height. The situation he’s facing right now is one of the worst case scenario for many out there, both men and women.

For matters that should be the most private like that to be handled in the public and socials like this is definitely not a coffee. One cannot help but think of how it’s affecting the kids, especially that it is now exam time.

We pray to God to be with the family and bring peace.

  1. I believe that he was a great athlete , yes. But he deserves the backlash because of his bad choices while within a marriage that involved hiis own kids. If anything , he should be blamed of his kids don’t do well in the exams because he failed to be there for them fully as a father.

  2. Yes Booth is a legend and a hero to many, and nobody is taking that away from him. But he made a choice to cheat on his with someone he works with, and he should have took a second and thought about how this whole thing would affect his wife and kids, but no its seems like he put his interests first before his family’s. So in my opinion I think Sonia did well by going public with her husband’s affair because the poor woman was also humiliated by her husband…bcoz looking at evidence Sonia layed out the man was publicly cheating.
